Tradesman becomes poet with a dash of James Bond!

When we first discussed marriage Jase wanted 10+10, 10yrs until we got engaged + 10yrs until we got married! Thats a long time to make a girl wait! We had a ring made after 2 yrs by the jeweller who made my mums ring 29yrs before and he took possession of the ring to make the proposal a suprise when he was ready. Little did I know this would only be a few days later - I was thinking in terms of years!
We always have a date night, so Wednesday night came around like any other, we prepared a pinic, we were heading to our fav spot, a beach out the back of Seddon where the sea crashes in, beautiful, but there were threating black clouds rolling in so we headed to Picton and Karaka Point instead. I spent my childhood exploring Karaka Point, rumaging the beach, sitting and drawing the seascape. It is one of my fav places. We park up and next thing I know he pulls out the ring box and a wee piece of paper, he launces in the most beautiful poem he had written himself about our future together, our dreams and goals and then threw in a line calling me Money Penny, in the perfect Sean Connery (James Bond) accent, (he has always done this as it makes me weak at the knees!) presented me the ring and took the tears and grinning as a yes, thankfully, as it took awhile to regane the functions of speach! My rough and tough tradesman composed the poem himself - I have never been so surprised in my life, he is a man who continues to surprise me and has such depth to his personality, interests and skills that I think he will continue to surpries me until the end!
