Gay Marriage

Love and commitment Conquers all...

The Marriage Equality bill was passed, last month making New Zealand 3rd in the world to Acknowledge the rights of all New Zealanders, to be able to make a commitment to the ones they Love, so proud to be a new Zealander. "They will also be able to enjoy the wonderful experience of in-laws, outlaws just like everyone else." LOL

Everyone deserves the right to express and feel who they really are without fearing prejudice and bullying. How much better would the World be with an accepting Society...

Congratulations to all!

Princie Diamond

Princie DiamondThe Princie Diamond, one of the largest pink diamonds in the world, has been sold at auction for nearly US$40m (NZ $47m). The 34.65 carat diamond was sold to an anonymous collector, making it the most expensive diamond ever sold at auction in America. This was the first time the cushion-cut diamond had appeared at auction in more than 50 years. Its origins trace back to the ancient mines of Golconda in south central India where it was discovered 300 years ago. It initially belonged to the royal family of Hyderabad, who ruled one of the wealthiest provinces of the Mughal Empire.

What an exquisite diamond, I wonder how that would look on my finger...

The Gemstone for May is Emerald!

Emerald BroachThe Gem stone for May is Emeralds.

If you were born in May then you're lucky enough to have Emerald as your birthstone. Emerald Represents Love, Spring, Fertility and Rebirth.

The good news is, the beautiful Emerald green colour is definitely in vogue this year.

Elizabeth Taylor Loved Emeralds and became an avid collector, the Broach pictured was given to her by Richard Burton on her wedding day, the emerald weighed 23.46 carats and the total diamond weight is approx. 20 carats... this was sold in 2011 At Auction for US$6.6million.

Coloured stones are very popular at the moment, with or without diamonds and make a perfect birthday gift for the Right hand finger.

What is your birthstone?
